Betty died Saturday morning, September 10, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.  She was 90 years of age.  Born in Freshwater, Newfoundland, Canada she is the daughter of the late Charles A. and Ada Jane (Pye) Clarke.  Betty worked as a homemaker throughout her life, caring for her husband, her home and her children. A late resident of Saugus, Betty resided in the town over the last 20 years.  Alvina enjoyed traveling; she filled her time with reading the Bible, going to the beach and crocheting.

Betty was the beloved wife of 40 years to Joseph G. "Sonny" Finnigan.  Beloved mother of Wendy D. Howell and her husband David of Haverhill, Catherine J. DeAngelis and her husband Frank of NH, Gary M. Finnigan and his wife Deanna of Saugus, Joseph R. Finnigan and his wife Cheryl of Saugus and the late Robert C. Stone.  Mother-in-law of Phyllis Stone of Wilmington.  Cherished grandmother to 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.  Also lovingly survived by many family and friends.
