Arline passed away unexpectedly at her home in Everett, on Sunday, December 25, 2016. She was 78 years of age. Born in Boston, she is the daughter of the late Moses M. and Albertina (Tavares) Epstein. Arline grew up in Chelsea and attended Chelsea Public Schools. She graduated from Chelsea High School, Class of 1957. She was a lifelong resident of Chelsea until she moved to Everett in her later years. Arline is a retired social worker, dedicating 35 years of service to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She assisted and helped many families while working for the Division of Child and Family Services.

Arline is the mother of the late Scott J. McGrath. Beloved sister of Harold E. Epstein and his wife Marilyn of Marblehead, the late Shirley Hansbury and Bernice Radzikowski. Mother-in-law of Michelle Hayward McGrath. Dear aunt of Corinne Sanchez, Paula Sullivan, Ilene Forsyth, Ellen Vilenchik, Nancy Kerins and their families.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Carafa Family Funeral Home 389 Washington Ave. Chelsea on Friday, December 30 at 10:30 A.M. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours in the funeral home on Thursday from 6-9 P.M. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
