Barbara E. (Chapman) Ostler passed away peacefully on August 20, 2025, on her 77th birthday, at the Kaplan House in Danvers.  Barbara was born and raised in Chelsea, the daughter of the late Elmer A. and Beatrice (Nugent) Chapman.  A lifelong Chelsea resident, Barbara attended school at Our Lady of Grace in Everett and graduated from Chelsea High School, Class of 1967.  Barbara was a lifelong parishioner at Our Lady of Grace Church in Chelsea, where she was employed as the secretary for over 35 years.  Barbara was very active in the Church community all throughout her life.  She will be forever cherished by all who loved her.

Barbara is the beloved mother of Patrick J. Pelosi of Chelsea.  She is the dear sister of Marie Abrams of Winthrop, Elizabeth "Beth" Baker of Everett, Ellen Chapman of Everett and the late Daniel A. Chapman.  Also lovingly survived by 1 grandson, Peyton Pelosi of Chelsea and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS:  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Church, 59 Nichols St. Chelsea on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 10:00 A.M.  Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.  Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara's memory may be made to the Haiti Food Program, Blessed Mother of the Morning Star, 670 Washington Ave., Revere, MA 02151
