Eileen passed away Wednesday afternoon, February 17, 2016 at the Brigham Health and Rehabilitation Center in Newburyport. She was 86 years of age. Born in Revere, she is the daughter of the late Elmer W. and Mary Josephine (Ferragamo) Anderson. Eileen grew up in Everett, attended Everett public schools and graduated from Everett High School, Class of 1947. After high school, Eileen attended a year of secretarial school at the former Winslow School. She worked as a secretary until she married her late husband, John. D. "Jack" Donovan. The couple shared 63 years of marriage before Jack's passing in 2015. Eileen enjoyed being a homemaker and caretaker of her home and family. She loved to cook, sew, and knit. She enjoyed traveling with her husband during their retirement years and spending time in Cape Cod. Eileen and Jack moved from Everett and lived in Dennis for 17 years before moving to Groveland. Eileen was a late member of the Our Lady of Grace Woman's Club in Everett and a late member of the St. Pius X Woman's Club in Yarmouth. Eileen will be greatly missed by her family and loved ones.

Eileen is the beloved mother of Donna J. Barrasso of Groveland, Kevin F. Power of Beverly, Cheryl D. Porcaro and her husband William of Tewksbury, Charlene M. DeMarco and her husband David of N.H. Father-in-law of the late Gene Barrasso. Dear sister of Thelma Hunter of Saugus and Roberta Ruszkowski of Haverhill. Also lovingly survived by 6 grandchildren, Derek, Matthew, Elyssa, Amanda, Angela, Chelsee and many nieces and nephews.
