Obituary

Frances entered into eternal rest Wednesday morning, April 26, 2017, at her home in Saugus, surrounded by her loving family. She was 83 years of age.  Frances has been residing in Saugus for the past 8 years but she was formerly of Chelsea, where she was born and raised.  She is the daughter of the late Rocco and Frances (Fasulo) Cimino.  Frances attended Chelsea Public Schools and graduated from Chelsea High School, Class of 1952.  Frances took great pride in being a homemaker, caring for her husband, her home, and her 6 children.  Frances' greatest joy was just having her family around her at all times.  She was an amazing wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother.  Her unconditional love and the self-esteem she willed into her children will linger on through the generations.  Her "83" year friendship with her sister Nancy was one of her favorite joys in life.  They spoke on the phone no less than twice a day, every day.

Frances was known to her children's friends as "Mrs. Ipp". Mrs. Ipp enjoyed cooking for all of the neighborhood kids, especially the Voke Park kids.  The Ippolito house was the place to be, especially on Sundays and the holidays when meatballs were cooking.  She always had a smile on her face and opened her home to all.  She "oozed" sweetness and loved all of the kids like they were her own.  She had a special bond with "Elvis Presley" since they shared a birthday, and she was not shy about letting everyone know.  She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

Frances is the wife of the late James C. Ippolito. She is the beloved mother of Josephine Thomas of Saugus and her former husband Paul Thomas of Everett, Rocco Ippolito of Saugus, Frances DiMare and her husband Daniel of Melrose, James Ippolito and his wife Phaedra DeLand Ippolito of Peabody, Robert Ippolito and his wife Katie of Everett and the late William Ippolito.  Dear sister of Nancy DiCecca of Methuen and the late Gerard, John, Phillip Cimino, Olympia Fabbri, Michael, Anthony Cimino, Antoinette Neilson, Rocco, Jr., Arnold and Joseph Cimino.  Also lovingly survived by 9 grandchildren, Karrisa, Danielle, Samantha, Adriana, Joseph, Anthony, James, Robert, Sabrina, 1 great grandson, Keegan, and numerous nieces and nephews.
