James passed away unexpectedly in the comfort of his Chelsea home, on Friday morning, January 7, 2022.  He was 76 years of age.  Born in Boston, he is the son of the late James M. and Mary E. (Keady) McConnell.  James worked as a maintenance worker for Ellis Memorial in Boston for a number of years before retirement.

James is the former husband of Patricia (Giovino) McConnell.  Dear brother of Rosemary E. McHatton of Tewksbury and the late Paul F. McConnell, Kathleen McConnell.  Also survived and loved by many nieces and nephews.
