James passed away on Easter Sunday morning, April 17, 2022, at his home in Malden.  He was 78 years of age.  Born and raised in Chelsea, he is the son of the late James A. Thayer, Sr. and Mary G. (Baggs).  James attended Chelsea Public Schools and graduated from Chelsea High School, Class of 1961.  James was a retired computer operator, having worked in a financial banking institution during his working career.  Her retired approximately 12 years ago when he took up residency in Malden.  He enjoyed listening to music and watching baseball and football on TV.  James will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

He is the beloved brother of Lois M. Thayer of Malden and the late Diane E. Thayer.  Dear cousin of Ruth Burrows and her husband Robert of Everett and Judy Shanks of Everett
