Margaret "Peggy"
Y. (Morneau) Ravanesi
d. Mar 17, 2021
Margaret "Peggy" (Morneau) Ravanesi reluctantly passed away on March 17, 2021 after a lengthy illness.
She was born on September 23, 1946 in Springfield, MA to Leo Norman Morneau and Frances (Connor) Morneau. She graduated from Cathedral High School, Springfield in 1964 and Peter Bent Brigham Nursing School in 1967. Upon graduation, she became a staff nurse on the kidney transplant unit of the Brigham Hospital.
Peggy met her husband Peter in 1966 at a Tufts Medical School dance, where Peter was a student. They married in 1968, initially moving to Roslindale and eventually settling in Duxbury in 1981. She was an avid reader, had a love of writing, commanded a sharp-witted sense of humor and lit up every room she walked into. She was a meticulously studied cook, sharing with loved ones in both gastronomy and abundance. Peggy was a former member of the Duxbury Garden Club and also had a love of classical music, which included sitting at her piano. Her most cherished role of all was being "Grandee" to her four beloved grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Richard Morneau (husband of Janice, Pawtucket, RI). Peggy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her including her devoted husband of fifty-two years Peter, son Michael and his wife Amy (New Canaan, CT), son Mark and his wife Lisa (Cohasset, MA), daughter Jennifer Fontaine (Minneola, TX), grandchildren Ned, Alex, Lauren and Henry, brother Charles Morneau and his wife Susan (Lincoln, MA) and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS: A private memorial for immediate family will be held on Monday, March 22, 2021. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Peggy's name at https://giving.massgeneral.org
