Mark passed away unexpectedly at his home in Lynn on Tuesday, June 5, 2018. He was 51 years of age.  Born in Boston, he is the son of the late Lawrence and Violet (Koby) Welch.  Mark has been residing in Lynn for the last 12 years but he was previously a long time Chelsea resident.  Mark grew up in Chelsea and attended Chelsea public schools.  A laborer by trade, Mark was a past member of the Local 22 Labors' Union in Malden.  He  was an avid movie collector.  He enjoyed playing video games, collecting comics, and listening to heavy metal music.  He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

Mark is the loving brother of Kathleen Chapman of Boston, Lawrence "Larry" Welch and his wife Nancy of ME, Glen Welch and his fiancé Stephanie of Saugus, William P. Welch and his wife Diana of ME. Dear uncle of Joshua Chapman of Boston, Carmen Welch, Valerie Welch, Angel Welch, all of ME, Lawrence "LJ" Welch and his wife Samantha Lyn of NH, Chrissy Welch, Cora Welch, Kasey Welch, all of ME, Elicia Welch of OK, Jessica Lynn Welch and her fiancé Joseph Downey of FL, Melissa Marie Cyr of ME and the late Lawrence Welch Jr.  Also lovingly survived by several great nieces and great nephews.
