Obituary

Paula passed away Sunday afternoon with family by her side, November 27, 2022, at the Dexter House in Malden.  She was 72 years of age.  Born in Stoneham, she was the daughter of the late Edward P. Jewett, Jr. and Marion L. (Stanley).  She grew up in Medford, attended Medford Public Schools and graduated from Medford High School with the Class of 1968.  She was retired and over her working career she worked at Kayem Foods, Inc, Richard's Cleaners (Ziggy's) and was a meter maid for the City of Chelsea.

Paula's hobbies over the years included going to bingo, playing cards, cooking, crossword puzzles, arts and crafts (she made the best Christmas ornaments) and watching crime related TV programming.

Paula will be sorely missed by all who loved her.  She loved her family very much.  She was known as Auntie Polly/Auntie P. by her many nieces and nephews, P. Martha by her beloved sister and brothers, and I'm sure her favorite was Nana Paula by her cherished grandchildren.

A note to Nana from Jade

"Oh Nana , I don't even know where to start. Nana, I love you with all of my heart. You were the brightest, most nicest person to talk to and you always knew how to end up putting the brightest smile on my and everyone's face. I'd come to you for help if needed because I knew right off the bat I'd get the best advice and the best opinion on anything I wasn't sure of. You reminded me that everything isn't the end of the world and what mattered most was the loved ones around you, and losing you hurt me entirely and hurt my soul really bad. You we're the best grandma anyone could ever ask for.  You gave my mom and my two aunts a very good life. You will always be with me and everyone else in spirit and always be in our hearts everyday and I know heaven will treat you good up there. We love you so much nana"-Jade Simao
