Ray passed away Thursday afternoon, July 14, 2022 at the Chelsea Soldier's Home.  He was 68 years of age.  Born in Santa Monica, CA, Ray lived most of his life in California.  He enlisted in the US Navy when he was 19 years old, on September 11, 1972, during the Vietnam Era.  He served 1 year and 7 months overseas and he was honorably discharged on March 4, 1975.  Ray received the National Defense Service Medal for his time served in the US Navy.  He moved to Massachusetts in the early 2000's and worked in security for most of his career but he retired in 2005 due to heath issues.  Ray moved to the Chelsea Soldier's Home in 2005 and has resided there ever since.  He will be greatly missed by all who loved him, especially his extended family and staff at the Soldier's Home.

Ray is the father of Jessica and Brianna.  Dear brother of Kay Hendrickson and Melissa Ogden.

FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS:  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at St. Michael's Chapel, Chelsea Soldier's Home, 91 Crest Ave., Chelsea at 10:00 A.M.  Interment to follow at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
