Rita (LaFrance) Landry, age 95, passed away on November 22, 2017 in Lynn, MA.

Rita was the 17 ^th of Helene (April) and Ernest LaFrance's 19 children. Born in Canada and raised in Lewiston, ME, Rita grew up singing and going to the movies as often as she could. She made a name for herself singing country music and yodeling on the radio, but soon met Norbert Landry and moved to Lynn, MA to start a family. Together, Rita and Norbert had seven children.

Throughout her life, Rita enjoyed bargain hunting, playing BINGO and traveling. She was a great cook and an expert Christmas shopper. In her nineties, Rita enjoyed watching movies with her family.

Rita is survived by her children, Denis Landry and his wife Hannalore of TX , Loretta Pilgrim and her husband Bob of ME, and Therese Dyer and her husband Rick of Lynn. She is also survived by her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her siblings, Rita is predeceased by her husband, Norbert Landry, and her son, Mark Landry. She is also predeceased by her three daughters, Irene Landry, Elise Landry Clark, and Helen Clay.
