Robert passed away Tuesday morning, November 27, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. He was 91 years of age.  Born in Boston, he is the son of the late Edward A. and Evelyn (Stuart) Rabideau.  Robert attended school in Milford and before his 18th birthday, he enlisted in the US Maritime Service.  He enrolled at Gallups Island in Massachusetts on January 29, 1945.  Seaman, first class Rabideau was released from active duty on November 16, 1945.  On December 5, 1950, he enlisted in the US Army and was honorably discharged on October 28, 1952.  Upon coming home from the service, Robert met his wife of 64 years, Jean F. (LaSpina).  The couple made a home in Everett for over 50 years.  Robert worked as a general laborer for the State DPW for several years before beginning his career at the MBTA.  He dedicated 19 years as a bus driver, before retiring in 1992.  He is a late member at the former VFW Post in Everett.

Robert is the beloved husband of Jean F. (LaSpina) Rabideau of Everett. Devoted father of James M. Rabideau and his wife Patricia of NY, Robert E. Rabideau, Jr. and his wife Leyla of Saugus and the late William J. Rabideau and Daniel J. Rabideau.  Father-in-law of Lorraine Rabideau and Carol Rabideau of NH.  Brother of the late Warren Rabideau.  He is also lovingly survived by 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS:  The family will gather at the Carafa Family Funeral Home 389 Washington Ave. Chelsea for a visitation on Friday, November 30 from 10:00 - 10:45 A.M. Committal prayers will follow at the Sheffield Mausoleum, Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett on Friday, November 30 at 11:00 A.M.  Entombment will follow.
