Late resident of Revere, Ruth entered into eternal rest on Christmas evening, December 25, 2018 at the Lighthouse Nursing Care Center in Revere, surrounded by her loving family. She was 86 years of age.  Born in Revere, she is the daughter of the late John and Mary A. (Butt) Noftle.  Ruth attended Revere Public Schools and graduated from Revere High School, Class of 1950.  Throughout her working career, Ruth worked for various department stores as a retail sales clerk.  Prior to retiring, she worked as an accounting clerk at the Broadway National Bank in Chelsea.  A faithful woman, Ruth was a late member of the Glendale U.M.C. of Everett and she was also a member of the former Rebekah Lodge in Revere.  She was actively involved in the Women's Club and the Forget Me Nots Club at the Mt. Bellingham Church, formerly in Chelsea.  She was the past President, Secretary and Treasurer at her former residence at the Friendly Gardens Co-Operative Apt. in Revere.

Ruth was pre-deceased by her husband Jack C. Armstrong. She is the devoted mother of Richard Armstrong and his friend Cheryl of Peabody, John R. Armstrong and his significant other Laurie Albee of Beverly and the late Steven Armstrong.  Brother of the late John Noftle.  Also lovingly survived by 4 grandchildren, Julianne, Cayli, Janine, Hannah and 2 great granddaughters, Sofia and Ava.

FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS: A Memorial Service will be conducted at the Glendale United Methodist Church 392 Ferry St. in Everett, on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 11:00 A.M.  Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
