Samuel passed away Friday afternoon at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veteran's Hospital in Bedford. He was 73 years of age. Born in Boston, he is the son of the late Samuel and Eldora (Buchanan) Graham. Vietnam Veteran, Samuel enlisted in the US Army on October 11, 1966. He received the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. He was honorably discharged on August 20, 1969 at Ft. Ord, California. Upon discharge, Samuel was transferred to the US Army Reserves until he completed his term of duty, and was discharged on October 10, 1972. After his service to his Nation, Samuel dedicated 15 years as a security guard for various security companies. He retired in 1987. Samuel was a 15 year resident of Boston before moving to the Chelsea Soldier's Home. He lived at the Soldier's Home for 10 years before moving to the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veteran's Hospital in Bedford, where he has been a resident for eleven years.

Samuel is the beloved brother of Richard Graham of Alabama, Darrel Bowra of Lowell, Marie Bowra of Cambridge and the late Robert Graham. Dear brother-in-law of Pamela Graham of Boston/Dorchester.
