Obituary

Therese A. (Landry) Dyer, 68, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and local singer, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2025, while battling lung cancer.
A lifelong Lynn resident, Therese was the daughter of the late Norbert and Rita Landry, and the youngest of seven children. She graduated with her best pals from Lynn Classical High School in 1975 and started her career as a bookkeeper. In the mid 1980s, she met the love of her life, Rick, and they began a 40-year adventure that brought them two children and a grandson, a home by the beach, countless amazing memories and too many hot fudge sundaes.
Therese loved games of all kinds, traveling anywhere, gardening and singing in all of its forms. She had a powerful and beautiful voice that was enjoyed by many, whether it be cruise ship karaoke, or playing gigs with the Night Flight Band. In her personal life, she was a hard-working mother and "mémère", who always provided a home-cooked meal and a story to tell. She was a firecracker who made a splash in every situation and will be very sorely missed.
Therese is survived by her beloved husband, Richard E. Dyer, Jr., as well has her children, daughter Sarah Dyer and her wife Katie Dyer, and son Jake Dyer and his fiancé Lindsey Ballard. She is also survived by her most cherished grandson, Theodore Dyer, as well as her brother Denis Landry and wife Hannelore of TX, and sister Loretta Pilgrim and husband Robert of ME. She leaves behind her sisters and brothers in law, as well as her dear friends, and many nieces and nephews.
Therese was predeceased by her parents, as well as siblings Mark, Elise, Irene, and Helen.
