Obituary

Vonda passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, December 28, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.  She was 92 years of age.  Born in Middlebury, VT, she was the eldest child of the late Russell F. and Amy (Smith) Dwire.  Formerly of Everett, Vonda was a cashier for Stop & Shop, dedicating 30 years to the company, before retiring in 1992. She was an avid reader; she enjoyed shopping, knitting and crocheting.  She would knit and crochet cancer caps to donate to Crochet for Cancer, the Appalachian Angels Chapter in Spencer, West Virginia.  Her other love throughout the years were her dogs and granddogs. Vonda enjoyed her retirement years in Dania Beach, Florida, as well as summers and vacations in Danvers and Moody Beach, Maine with her family. She loved a good road trip; especially those ending with fried clams, ice cream or a visit to a new state. No trip was ever too long. She enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox but since moving to Florida she became a fan of the Miami Marlins and Tampa Bay Rays.  Vonda was a late member of the First Congregational Church in Chelsea.  She will be forever loved and missed by her family and friends.
Vonda was the wife of the late Walter E. Moss.  Beloved mother of Bonnie C. Moss of CA, Kelly L. Moss and his wife Laureen of Danvers.  Dear sister of Vivian Hodgkin of FL, Virginia Pancotti of NY, Victor Dwire of VT and the late Valma Maltais and Vernon Dwire.  Also lovingly survived by several nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS:  Vonda's Funeral Arrangements are under the care of Carafa Funeral Home, Chelsea MA. Services will be held privately on Saturday, January 7, 2023.
